Description
This course provides the principles of piping design around process & utility units as well as the piping around the main equipment such as tanks, pumps, towers, etc.
Course provides the critical rules for a successful plant design in petrochemical, refineries, gas stations and major facilities (Processing / Utility / renewable energy).
By completion of this course, you have the knowledge and ability to perform preliminary design around the main equipment in a processing / utility plant.
Course Outcomes
On completion of this course participants will be able to:
- Have a comprehensive understanding of plant detail design rules and designer’s responsibilities
- Identify the minimum requirements and notes for process piping listed as below:
- Required clearance (horizontal-vertical) for design piping system
- Valve accessibility
- Special item need (strainer/non slam check valve,..)
- Design piping on the pipe rack / pipe way
- Design piping around control manifolds
- Design piping around exchangers
- Design piping around pumps
- Design of underground piping
- Design of piping around safety valves
- Identify the input and output documents in design process of plants
